The hotel is located about a 10 minutes walk from the West Entrance to Shinjuku Rail Station. There is a small entrance about a 3 minutes walk, down to the subterranean level. This connects through a series of winding 'tunnels' entrances to adjoining buildings and can lead you to Shinjuku Rail Station but the network of tunnels is so large, I got confused and kept taking wrong turns which doubled or tripled my journey time and distance! As Japanese properties go, the hotel room was large and the shower in the en-suite was really powerful and so welcome after sweating all day, sightseeing! There are plenty of convenience stores and places to eat within a 5 - 10 minutes walk so you'll not starve or go thirsty. The room's air conditioning was great and there was, also, an air purifier in my room which was an added bonus. Finally, I must mention the checking-in and checking-out 'machine'. You type in your details and it provided me with 2 key cards when I checked in and I typed in a few details and put my key cards in, when I checked out and that was it! Thankfully, there was a staff member on hand who oversaw what I was doing but it, literally, took 2 mins each time and was so easy. I would've mentioned the helpful staff but I found everyone I had any interaction with (restaurant staff, railway staff, shop staff, etc.) was just as friendly and eager to help so can attribute some of this to their social norms.

The reception was very pleasant and accommodating. The hotel is a 2min walk from Nishi-Shinjuku station and 10min walk to Shinjuku station The hotel is right beside a university hospital and police station too. So the only noise is the ambulance. Across the street is a McDonald’s and next door a 7/11. There’s also a cafe on the same floor as the hotel lobby. There are self serve lockers, free of charge for guests. The nightlife is on the opposite side (east side, while the hotel is on the west side) of Shinjuku station so it’s close but not close enough to have to hustle and bustle of party goers nearby. For a female solo traveller I felt very safe walking home late at night and the street is not sketchy at all. The hotel does room cleaning every other day, but provide fresh towels daily. If you want your garbage empty just leave it out your front door. The cleaning staff is all female too. The top floor is for females only and they have their own laundry room. Otherwise, the laundry room (coin operated, and it’s a separate washer & dryer) for all guests are on another floor. Overall, the room size is standard for Japanese. But small for Westerners standard. However, for a female solo traveller like myself, it was definitely enough space. I highly recommend Nishitetsu Inn Shinjuku 👍

It’s location is very close to the subway Nishi-Shinjuku station and is one stop away from Shinjuku station (one of the major train stops). Very accessible when you need to go around Tokyo. It’s also close to 711, Family Mart if you need to go for a quick food or drink grabs but there are also lots of local resto nearby. McDonald’s is just across the street if you’re craving for fast food and there’s St Marc Cafe at Level 1. The room size is enough for a solo traveler like me but perhaps too small for my luggage 😅 - not that it is an issue. People are polite. Hotel provides daily change of towels so it’s a total plus for me. Bed is comfy and water pressure is OK too. Everything is perfect! 😍

Excellent location near many transport options. Nishi (= west) Shinjuku is an architecturally interesting area with iconic modern skyscrapers. (Contrasting with the more chaotic and sleazier eastern district.) Surrounded by plentiful and varied good value eateries in the adjacent streets and basement food courts. (Just follow the office workers for the best lunch options!)

Great location, on the quieter side of Shinjuku, good distance to train options. By Tokyo standards the room size was good and got comfy right away. Self-service amenities were downstairs so no need to request extras just grab what you needed. They have a locker system for the day you check in and out which means your stuff is secure and easy to access when you need it.
